azorsky - new electro project from penta !

Aparently I had a little secret all this time, but now is the time to reveal it: I give you Azorsky, my new electro project, which has evolved from the good times we are having on the Azores Islands! Penta is back in the Azores after a Brazilian vacation.

I am back in my home in the Azores Islands and ready to make more music. I have already started on my fifth album, however, I am thinking of releasing some tracks prematurely exclusively on Beatport, since I need to maintain a profit quota to stay on that site (Hint, hint :-) Also, as always I am working on several secret projects.

Penta going on tour to South America

It was really nice to catch some breath in San Francisco, but we have to go South of the Equator, as we are simply not made for the harsh San Francisco winter. :-) Our journey will begin in Buenos Aires, continuing to Chile and culminating with December and January spent in Brazil! We have rented a place in the psychedelic cradle of the world - San Francisco, for several months, and to answer popular demand are now selling Penta and AuraQuake t-shirts as well as CDs through PayPal - a fast, easy and secure payment system. Anybody with a credit card or PayPal account can now own a piece of Penta. Plus, we are giving a free Seismic Mood CD with each of the first 50 t-shirts sold! At the same time, AuraQuake is preparing a new compilation - Jitter Glow with two Penta tracks on it. It is already in the mastering stage. As far as other releases go, track "Lady Bug" is released on Shaman Film records comp "Engrams Luminaria 2012" as a soundtrack for future DVD, and track "Everybody Goes Crazy" is going to be finally released on Reckless Rhythm Records as part of "Psycho Acoustics" compilation on August 18th. Boom radio and jitter glow

I am back after a long time not updating the page - too much travelling in the last months plus work on the Boom Radio and other things. We are busy facilitating the Boom Radio Project, - more on it on the Boom Festival page. We are still loking for more Boom Radio jingles, so if you feel like making one just for fun, please send it to us at boomradio@auraquake.com. Thanks! Soular Eclipse
Our stay in Azores Islands has come to an end. There are months of going from one place to another ahead. New compilation from AuraQuake is coming out around summer, plus the new Penta album is in the works with more than half of the tracks ready. Also we are packing our bags to go to the Soulclipse festival in Turkey. Overall, we are planning to spend in Asia Minor 3 weeks, browsing busy bazaars, boiling in various spas and fighting the chicken virus. In the end of April we are back in San Francisco, but my schedule is pretty busy also...

20 Countries have witnessed Penta
We are still here, in Azores Islands, cooking new album and stewing other projects. It is carnaval time here and the parties are crazy. I have to dress a different costume every night. I recently realized that with a smashing party in the fair city of Torino, Italy I have rounded up the list of countries where I have performed to 20, if this news is of any excitement to you, which include Italy, Portugal, Spain, England, Germany, Sweden, Greece, FYR Macedonia, Hungary, Switzerland, Slovenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Russia, Israel, India, Japan, USA, Brazil, and Canada. So, where are you Australia, South Africa, Mexico (Hello!, I have travelled 17 times to your amazing country and never to a party), Costa Rica, Venezuela, Guatemala, Singapore, Taiwan, France ? :-) My red pin box is still full, you know...

Nikita turns 30
Just 2 months after Penta has turned 5 years I am, Nikita Tselovalnikov (which is almost the same thing), turning 30 on February 11. This information is for fun only, I am not throwing any mega events because of this, just letting you know that I am quite old in comparison with today's increasingly young producers. :-)The modern computer technology has enabled people to make music since kindergarten and that has lead to lots of innovation in sound recently, which is quite exciting. Speaking of technology, I have been learning lots of new tools recently, so expect many releases this year. Maybe even a new album :-) In any case, things are going well, I am getting a lot of warm fresh air in Azores Islands, (check back soon for the pics of the new place I am living in) which is inspiring me to explore new sonic territories. The future gigs are popping up as well, I will update the tour schedule section as soon as I will have them confirmed...

Penta is turning 5! To celebrate, we are flying to Brussels, Belgium for an epic party! Hope some of you can make it there too.

After the event we are going to be based in Portugal until Mid-April 2006.

Updates to the Website
We are travelling a lot, and updates are not coming as fast as I would like them to. Penta is in Berlin
Before going to Portugal for the summer, we have stopped in Berlin from where we are going to fly to parties in Sweden, Slovenia, India and Cyprus. The work on the album continues...

Penta is going to be based in Portugal from April 13 to September!
After finishing the work on the album, we are relocating to Lisbon, Portugal on April 13 and going to stay there until September. This way it's going to be easier for European party organizers to book Penta. For bookings, please go to the appropriate section.

New album is close to finish
After many months of touring, I am finally in my studio in San Francisco, making music day and night. There are 6 or 7 tracks for the album completed, so I am near an end. I think if everything runs smooth, the album should be out on our own label, AuraQuake, before the summer.

New label created: Auraquake
Born in Brazil, the new label is going to kick off with a second album by Penta in the first half of 2005. The venture is founded by Nikita Tselovalnikov (Producer) and Catia Leitao (Label Manager). The Website is under construction and is going to be located at www.auraquake.com. The official colors are 'acai' and 'acerola', the colors of tasty Brazilian fruits.
