music creation process

No music would be possible without the support of my fans. The rest is just technical details. I use primarily software synthesizers (VSTi) for music creation. My favorite ones are Reaktor, Absynth, Emagic synths and Discovery with Vanguard. I also use Access Virus quite a bit and Waldorf Microwave for Rhythm patterns and special effects. For Bass I prefer Emagic es1, esm and Steinberg TB1. Sampler like EXS24 also enjoys a lot of attention in my compositions, as I use a lot of samples.

My whole approach lies in experimenting with sounds and producing tons of loops, fx, leads, and pads before I start laying everything down in Logic Audio. I am putting myself in a state of meditation for the first one or two days of making music, where I create all this sonic mess that is somehow related to each other. The next step is to throw everything in the Arrange Window, where pre-made (the first day) kick, bass and rhythmic structure await. After this I make a lot of different versions of how everything fits with each other, and choose the most successful find. Getting the basic idea down, I write the missing links - breaks, leads, fx, etc. After that comes the polishing process - making sure stuff is not too repetitive, composing intros and outros if missing, adding additional voices and fx. Subsequently comes the final mix. The whole track takes about 3-4 days - sometimes less. Certain compositions took only seven hours to complete.
